You need only get a fine grit finishing stone or a barber's hone for this.  If a blade has not been honed, its edge will be dull or bent and not ready to shave with.  The blade must be honed before use, as with all straight razors. Honing is a process of realigning the blade's edge with a honing strop or honing rod, which should be done regularly to extend the blade's sharpness.
