Once you have chosen your safety razor, the next step is to pick which blade is right for you. There are many to choose from! We want you to pick the right one for your hair and skin.

It takes time and lots of experimenting to find the right DE blade for your skin, hair and razor. This post will show you what to consider when buying the right blades for you.

All of them guarantee a great, smooth shave but there are small differences in the performances of each brand that are important to consider. Although, once you have found the blade that is right for you, it is recommended to stick to it!

The Feather DE blades are one of the sharpest blades on the market. Feather is great for people that are well skilled in wet shaving with a safety razor. You can get 5-11 shaves off a single Feather blade meaning they are ideal if you shave on a daily basis. These blades are made in Japan and are available in 5, 10, 20, 100 and 200 packs which make them a great price.

Parker blades have a less aggressive edge compared to some of its competitors. These blades are great for beginner wet shavers who are still perfecting their technique. It is recommended that people with sensitive skin use these as they are medium sharp and not as likely to irritate the skin. These blades last about 3-9 shaves each blade.

The Shark Super Chrome Blade is a chrome plated blade with a polymer coating which helps the blade produce a smooth and close shave. The super Chrome blades will last 3 to 8 shaves (more for women and men with thinner hair) and are suitable for semi-coarse hair, medium thickness. The super chrome is a great blade for both beginners and experienced wet shavers.

The derby blades have a chromium ceramic platinum tungsten and polymer coat, making them extremely comfortable and long lasting. Although, if you have thicker hair, you may need to pick a sharper blade for a closer, smoother shave. The Derby blades last 3-9 shaves.
